The Galaxy Note 10.1 has an overall score of 66.3, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0's 62.8 global score. Although the Galaxy Note 10.1 is better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, it must be noted that it is also noticeably older, thicker and notably heavier. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note 10.1 has older 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat version.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 features a bit superior processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Note 10.1 also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a just a bit lower display pixel density, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 800 x 1280 and a larger screen.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Both have the same 1280x720 video resolution, a back facing camera with a 5 mega-pixels resolution and the same video frame rate. Galaxy Note 10.1 features a superior memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 32 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 features a really longer battery life than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a 7000mAh battery size.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab A 8.0. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, resigning some features and specifications.
