Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a general score of 74.3, which is much better than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1's general score of 66.3. These devices work with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has newer 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has Android 4.4, so it offers lots of additional features and optimized performance. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is a much newer device, and it's also extremely thinner and noticeably lighter than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
