Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has an overall score of 74.5, which is better than the Galaxy Note 10.1's overall score of 66.3. Both of these tablets include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a newer 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Note 10.1 has Android 4.4 version, so it provides a couple additional features and performance optimizations. Galaxy Tab S 8.4's construction is a lot newer, way lighter and way thinner than Galaxy Note 10.1.

Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a much better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much greater display pixels density and a much better 2560 x 1600 resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that admits 96 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has just a bit better processing power than Galaxy Note 10.1, because it has a larger number of cores and more RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a much better battery duration than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 43 percent bigger battery size. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 shoots greater photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, because it has a much better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a lot more MP camera in the back.
