Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 68.5, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE's score of 63. Both of these tablets include Android operating system, but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has older 4.2.2 version while Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has Android 4.4.2. Even when Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE were released only 9 months apart, Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is much lighter and somewhat thinner.
