Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 68.5, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE's score of 63. Both of these tablets include Android operating system, but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has older 4.2.2 version while Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has Android 4.4.2. Even when Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE were released only 9 months apart, Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is much lighter and somewhat thinner.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a superior performance than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, and although they both have a Quad-Core CPU and a 2 GB RAM, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has an additional graphics processor. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much sharper screen than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a way higher pixel number per inch in the screen and a lot higher resolution of 1600 x 2560px.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a very superior memory capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
