Both devices in this review have Android OS, but Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a more recent 5.0 version while Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has Android 4.4.2 version, so it provides a couple additional features and optimized performance. Even when the Google Nexus 7 (2013) and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE were released with only a couple of months difference, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) is just a little bit thinner and lighter.
Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a much better display than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a lot better amount of pixels per display inch. The Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a bit superior processor than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, and although they both have 4 cpu cores and a 2 GB RAM memory, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) also has an extra graphics processing unit.
The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a superior camera than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, and although they both have the same resolution back camera, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) also has a lot better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality.
