The Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has a general score of 63, which is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia Tablet S's global score of 58.9. Both tablets in our current comparison include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has newer 4.4.2 version while Sony Xperia Tablet S has Android 4.1.1 version, providing you some additional features and better performance. Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE's construction is just a little heavier but thinner than the Sony Xperia Tablet S, and they were released with only 4 months difference.

Xperia Tablet S has a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 800 x 1280, the Xperia Tablet S also counts with a bit more pixels per screen inch. The Sony Xperia Tablet S features a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM, and they both have 4 cpu cores, the Sony Xperia Tablet S also counts with a graphics co-processor.

The Xperia Tablet S has a way bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because it has an external memory slot that supports up to 128 GB and more internal storage capacity.

The Xperia Tablet S and Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE feature very similar batteries performance.

Although Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Sony Xperia Tablet S, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Sony Xperia Tablet S. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Sony Xperia Tablet S, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
