Toshiba Excite 10 has a general score of 45, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy Player 5's 42.7 general score. These tablets include Android OS (operating system), but the Toshiba Excite 10 has a more recent 4.0 version and Samsung Galaxy Player 5 has Android 2.3.5 version. The Toshiba Excite 10 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Player 5, because it has a higher number of megahertz cores.

Samsung Galaxy Player 5 features a bit sharper screen than Toshiba Excite 10, because although it has a lot lower resolution of 800 x 480 and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a higher pixel density.
