The Microsoft Surface 3 has an overall score of 66.3, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE's overall score of 62.5. The Microsoft Surface 3 design has the same thickness than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, but it is a bit heavier. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE counts with a little sharper screen than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a much worse pixels count per inch in the display, a way lower resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and a quite smaller screen.

Microsoft Surface 3 features a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, because it has more internal memory. The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a superior CPU than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, because it has more RAM and a higher number of cores. Microsoft Surface 3 captures much clearer pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, because it has a much better (Full HD) video quality and a camera with lot more MP.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE has a superior battery performance than Microsoft Surface 3.

Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface 3, else you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, letting go some features and specifications.
