Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active has a score of 67, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE's global score of 62.5. The Galaxy Tab Active construction is a lot lighter but thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE. These tablets come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab Active has the newer 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE has Android 3.1 version, so it provides a couple additional features.
Galaxy Tab Active features just a little better performance than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, because it has a larger amount of RAM, a larger number of cores and an additional graphics co-processor. Galaxy Tab Active counts with a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, because although it has a way smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1280 x 800 resolution, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a better display density.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has just a bit more storage for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 64 GB. Galaxy Tab Active takes better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality, the Galaxy Tab Active also has a higher resolution camera in the back.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE counts with a very superior battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity against 4450mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your budget.
