Acer Iconia W700 is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 10.1, having a 59.6 score against 58.1. The Acer Iconia W700 comes with Windows 8 Pro OS, while Galaxy Tab 10.1 counts with Android 4.0.4 OS. Acer Iconia W700 is a newer device than the Galaxy Tab 10.1, but it is heavier and much thicker. Acer Iconia W700 counts with a better performing processing unit than Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have 2 cpu cores, the Acer Iconia W700 also has a GPU.
Acer Iconia W700 features a display that's very similar to Galaxy Tab 10.1's screen, although the Acer Iconia W700 also has a bit larger screen, a greater pixels count per screen inch and a much higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 captures much clearer videos and photos than Acer Iconia W700, although it has a lower (Full HD) video quality and a back-facing camera with a much worse 3 mega pixels resolution.
Acer Iconia W700 features a much bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has 128 GB internal storage. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 counts with a much longer battery duration than Acer Iconia W700.
Although Acer Iconia W700 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
