Both tablets in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but the LG G Pad III 8.0 has 7.0 Nougat version and Galaxy Tab 10.1 has Android 4.0.4, so it offers some nice extra features and a performance increase. LG G Pad III 8.0 is a a bit thinner and extremely lighter device than the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
The LG G Pad III 8.0 counts with a little bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a way better 1200 x 1920 resolution and a lot better screen density. LG G Pad III 8.0 has much more storage for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has just 16 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB.
The LG G Pad III 8.0 features a faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has a higher number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a way better battery life than LG G Pad III 8.0, because it has a 6800mAh battery capacity. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 counts with just a bit better camera than LG G Pad III 8.0, although it has a way lower resolution back-facing camera and a lower (Full HD) video quality.
