Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is better than the Galaxy Tab 10.1, getting a 68.7 score against 58.1. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's construction is way newer, noticeably lighter and somewhat thinner than the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Both tablets in our current comparison use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a more recent 4.2.2 version while Galaxy Tab 10.1 has Android 4.0.4 version, counting with a couple nice extra features.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a better performing processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have 2 cpu cores, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a graphics processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 counts with a bit sharper display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a little lower pixels count per screen inch, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 also counts with a bigger screen.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has faster video frame rates and a way more megapixels camera in the back. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a much bigger storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 64 GB.
Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a very superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity against 4450mAh.
In addition to being the best tablet in our current comparison, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is also a lot cheaper.
