Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is way better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, having a overall score of 70.2 against 58.1. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is a much newer tablet, and it is also just a bit thinner and just a little lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Both of these tablets use Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has 8.1 Oreo version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has Android 4.0.4 version, so it provides some nice extra features and performance enhancements.

The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has a more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has 6 more cpu cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a little sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), although it has a lot worse 800 x 1280 resolution and a much worse pixel density, they both have a same size display.

The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) features much more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has just 16 GB internal memory, it also counts with an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 200 GB. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has a bit superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has a 7% bigger battery capacity.

Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) shoots greater videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have the same video resolution, the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) also has a way better resolution camera in the back and higher video frame rates.
