These devices work with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has the newer 5.0 version while Galaxy Tab 10.1 has Android 4.0.4 version. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 construction is incredibly newer, a lot lighter and thinner than the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
