Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has an overall score of 60.5, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1's 58.1 score. The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 body is extremely newer, somewhat thinner and lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. These devices include Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has the newer 7.1 Nougat version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has Android 4.0.4 version, so it gives a couple nice extra features and improved performance.

The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has a greater number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a little bit higher 800 x 1280 resolution, a little larger screen and a little more pixels per screen inch.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with a bigger memory to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 128 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features just a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity.
