Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 67.9, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T)'s score of 65. These tablets work with Android OS, but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has newer 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has Android 4.1, so it provides the user a lot of extra features. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a a lot newer tablet, and it's also notably lighter and incredibly thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T).

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with a greater number of cores (and faster) and a greater amount of RAM. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much more vibrant display than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher 1600 x 2560 resolution and a way higher pixels amount per inch of screen.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 captures greater pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has a way higher resolution back facing camera. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much greater memory for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a really longer battery life than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.

Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T). If you want to save some money, you can buy Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
