The Microsoft Surface 3 has a global score of 66.3, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T)'s 65 global score. Microsoft Surface 3 is a much newer and thinner portable tablet than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), although it's a bit heavier. The Microsoft Surface 3 features a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with more RAM and more cores.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a little bit better looking display than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a much worse pixels density, a lot worse 800 x 1280 pixels resolution and a quite smaller screen. Microsoft Surface 3 features much more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 112 GB more internal storage.
The Microsoft Surface 3 features a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the Microsoft Surface 3 also has a camera in the back with much more mega pixels. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) counts with a very superior battery life than Microsoft Surface 3.
Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface 3, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), giving up some specifications.
