Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has an overall score of 65, which is a little bit better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3's 65 overall score. Although it's the best device in our current comparison, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) construction is somewhat thicker and just a bit heavier than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) comes with Android 4.1 OS, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with Windows 8 OS.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have a display with the same size, the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 also has a just a little greater display density and a quite better resolution of 768 x 1366px. Samsung ATIV Tab 3's CPU is just as good as the CPU in Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, and they both have a Dual-Core CPU, it also counts with 1 GB more RAM.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 3's camera is very similar to the camera in Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has a much higher resolution camera, they both have the same video frame rates and the same video resolution. The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has a much better storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) counts with a really longer battery performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, giving up some features and specs.
