The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) body has the same thickness than Galaxy Tab 3 V, but it's much heavier. These tablets use Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has older 4.1 version while Galaxy Tab 3 V has Android 4.4 version.

Galaxy Tab 3 V counts with just a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a way smaller display and a way worse resolution of 1024 x 600px, it also counts with a just a little better display density. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a bit faster CPU than Galaxy Tab 3 V, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) also has a graphics processing unit and more CPU cores.

Galaxy Tab 3 V counts with a bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), although it has a much lower video quality and a camera with a lot worse resolution. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) counts with a much better memory capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, and although they both have an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 32 GB, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) also has more internal memory capacity.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab 3 V, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 3 V. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), else you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 3 V, giving up a couple features and specifications.
