Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a global score of 65, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab A8's overall score of 62.6. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has the older 4.1 version and Galaxy Tab A8 has Android 11. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a much older, incredibly thicker and heavier tablet device than the Galaxy Tab A8.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a much more powerful CPU than Galaxy Tab A8, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster) and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a brighter screen than Galaxy Tab A8, although it has a way worse 800 x 1280px resolution, a little bit smaller screen and way lesser pixels per inch of display.

The Galaxy Tab A8 features a superior memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB and 16 GB more internal storage capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 counts with a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because it has a back-facing camera with a lot higher 8 mega-pixels resolution.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) both count with incredibly similar battery performance, although the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 also has 7040mAh of battery capacity.
