Galaxy Tab Active has a score of 67, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T)'s 65 score. Both of these tablets work with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab Active has a newer 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has Android 4.1 version. Galaxy Tab Active is a lighter portable tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), but both of them have the same thickness.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with a little more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a much smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 800, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a greater pixels amount in each display inch. The Galaxy Tab Active's processing unit is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) one, although the Galaxy Tab Active also has 2 more processing cores , a greater amount of RAM memory and a much better graphics processing unit working at 450 MHz.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features a little bit more memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 64 GB. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a superior battery life than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity against 4450mAh.
Galaxy Tab Active captures much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab Active also has a more mega pixels back-facing camera.
Although Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T). So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab Active, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), letting go some features and specs.
