The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has an overall score of 74.3, which is better than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T)'s 65 general score. Both tablets in this comparison review work with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has the newer 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has Android 4.1, so it gives you lots of additional features and better performance. Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is a newer tablet, and it's also noticeably thinner and a lot lighter than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T).
