Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has an overall score of 60.7, which is a bit better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s general score of 58.6. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s construction is a little bit lighter than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), although it is just a bit thicker and was released 8 years before. Both tablets in this review use Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has the older 4.1 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie.

Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a better performing processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a larger number of cores (and also faster) and more RAM. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a little sharper screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), although it has a much lower resolution of 600 x 1024px, a quite worse quantity of pixels per inch in the display and a quite smaller display.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) shoots better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has a back-facing camera with way more MP. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a much better storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1000 GB.

Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a much better battery duration than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
