Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is slightly better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), getting a global score of 60.7 against 59.7. Both tablets in this comparison review include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has older 4.1 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version. Despite of the fact Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is noticeably older and just a little bit thicker than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), it's construction is still just a bit lighter.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a bit better screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), although it has a quite smaller screen, a lot worse resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels and a quite lower count of pixels per screen inch. Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) features a much greater storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) also has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 1000 GB.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a greater processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and 2 more processing cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a really longer battery life than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a much better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video quality, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has a back facing camera with way more mega-pixels.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is a better device, it is more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), letting go a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
