Comparison review

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a global score of 67.9, which is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s 60.7 general score. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's construction is incredibly newer and much thinner, but just a bit heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). These devices use Android OS, but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has the newer 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1 version, providing you a couple nice extra features.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a lot better looking display than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a much higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, a larger display and a way greater pixel quantity per inch of screen. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a bit more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a quite better performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and a larger number of cores (and faster). The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a much better battery life than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 takes clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a lot higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a camera in the back with much more MP.

Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
