Comparison review

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 is slightly better than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), with a 61.2 score against 60.7. Both devices in this comparison have Android operating system, but Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a more recent 4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1, giving you some additional features and performance optimizations. Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a way newer tablet, and it's also lighter and notably thinner than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0).

Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a lot more pixels per inch in the display, a little bit bigger screen and a way higher 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with just a bit more storage to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a superior CPU than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a greater number of faster cores and 1 GB more RAM. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a very superior battery duration than Asus MeMO Pad 8. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) captures clearer pictures and videos than Asus MeMO Pad 8, although it has a back camera with a way worse 3 MP resolution and a worse (HD) video resolution.

Although Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a better device, it is a little more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Asus MeMO Pad 8, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), resigning a couple specs and features.
