Both tablets in this review include Android operating system, but LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus has a more recent 7.0 Nougat version and Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1. The LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus is a notably newer device, and it is also way thinner and somewhat lighter than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0).
