Microsoft Surface Pro has a general score of 63.2, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s 60.7 overall score. Microsoft Surface Pro's body is way thicker and heavier than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). Microsoft Surface Pro works with Windows 8 Pro OS, while Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1 OS.

The Microsoft Surface Pro features a superior processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has more RAM and an additional graphics processing unit. The Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a slightly better display than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a way better 1080 x 1920px resolution, a just a bit greater display density and a way larger screen.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a much better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same 1280x720 video definition, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has higher 30 frames per second video frame rate and a camera in the back with a way better 3 mega-pixels resolution.

Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a much better storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a way better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). So if you need that extra features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), resigning a couple specs and features.
