Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a bit better than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), getting a 65.1 score against 60.7. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) works with Android 4.1 operating system. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a newer device than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), but it's a lot thicker and noticeably heavier.
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a little bit better looking display than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a much higher resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a little more pixels per screen inch and a lot bigger display. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a quite better processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 also has more RAM memory.
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a much bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a way better battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 2.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) takes much clearer pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2. Both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rate.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
