Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a score of 60.7, which is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface RT's overall score of 58.4. Although Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) and the Microsoft Surface RT were released with only 4 months difference, Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s design is just a little bit thicker but extremely lighter than the Microsoft Surface RT. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with Android 4.1 OS, and Microsoft Surface RT comes with Windows RT OS.
Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a slightly better looking display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a way worse resolution of 600 x 1024 and a much smaller display, it also counts with a quite greater number of pixels in each inch in the screen. Microsoft Surface RT has a bit more storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Microsoft Surface RT has a better performing processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has more RAM memory, an additional graphics co-processor and a larger number of faster cores. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a much longer battery life than Microsoft Surface RT. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) takes greater photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video definition, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has a much more mega-pixels back camera.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
