Comparison review
Samsung Ativ Tab is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), having a 66.7 score against 60.7. Samsung Ativ Tab works with Windows RT OS, and Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) works with Android 4.1 OS. Although Samsung Ativ Tab and the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) were released only 7 months apart, Samsung Ativ Tab's body is notably heavier but also thinner.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a little bit better looking display than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a way worse 600 x 1024 resolution, it also counts with a little bit greater screen pixels density. Samsung Ativ Tab features a lot bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has 32 GB more internal storage and a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 64 GB.
The Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a superior processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have 2 processing cores, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has an additional GPU and a larger amount of RAM memory. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a little bit better camera than Samsung Ativ Tab, although it has a way less megapixels back-facing camera and a worse (HD) video quality.
The Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a much longer battery life than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has an 8200mAh battery capacity.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
