Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), having a 60.7 score against 60.4. Both tablets in this comparison review use Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has the previous 4.1 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Despite being the best tablet in this review, we must highlight that it's also notably older, heavier and somewhat thicker.

Galaxy Tab A (2016) counts with a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a greater number of faster cores and a larger amount of RAM. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a slightly better looking display than Galaxy Tab A (2016), although it has a quite worse pixels number in each inch of display and a way worse 600 x 1024 pixels resolution, they both have a display of the same size.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) captures clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) also has a camera in the back with a much higher 5 mega pixels resolution.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a SD card slot that supports up to 32 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) counts with a battery performance that is just as good as the battery lifetime in Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0).

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) costs the same than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), which makes this tablet a very good choice.
