The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a global score of 60.7, which is slightly better than Galaxy Tab E's general score of 60.7. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s body is lighter than Galaxy Tab E, but it is somewhat thicker and was released many years before. Both tablets in this comparison review have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has an older 4.1 version and Galaxy Tab E has Android 4.4.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab E, because although it has a lot worse resolution of 600 x 1024px and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit higher pixels quantity in each inch in the display. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a much better storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab E, because although it has a SD extension slot that holds 96 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E has a little better performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a larger number of cores (and also faster) and a higher amount of RAM. The Galaxy Tab E shoots slightly better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy Tab E also has a way higher resolution camera.

Galaxy Tab E features improved battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a 25 percent greater battery capacity.
