The Xperia Tablet Z has a score of 68.5, which is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s 60.7 general score. Xperia Tablet Z's body is newer and incredibly thinner, but also way heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). These tablets work with Android OS, but the Xperia Tablet Z has the newer 4.4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1 version, so it counts with a couple nice extra features.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a more powerful CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has more RAM, a higher number of cores and an extra graphics processor. The Xperia Tablet Z features just a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a way better 1200 x 1920 resolution, a really bigger screen and a greater count of pixels per inch of display.

The Xperia Tablet Z has a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a much more mega-pixels back camera and a much better video definition. Xperia Tablet Z has a slightly better storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 64 GB.

Xperia Tablet Z features a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a 50% greater battery capacity.

Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia Tablet Z, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), letting go some specs and features.
