Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, having a 67.9 score against 65.9. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's construction is newer, a little thinner and way lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch. Both tablets in this comparison review include Android operating system, but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has newer 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has Android 4.2 version, so it counts with lots of additional features.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a lot better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher 1600 x 2560 resolution and a lot better display pixels density. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and a larger number of cores.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a way higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a camera with a lot higher 8 megapixels resolution.
