The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), having a overall score of 65.9 against 65. Both tablets in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a newer 4.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has Android 4.1 version, giving a couple additional features and some performance improvements. Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch's body is lighter and thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), although they were released with only a couple of months difference.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) counts with just a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, and although they both have 2 CPU cores and 1 GB of RAM memory, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) also has an additional graphics processing unit. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch. They have the same screen density, exactly the same 800 x 1280 resolution and a display of the same size.
Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch counts with a superior memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because it has 16 GB more internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 64 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch counts with a superior camera than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T). Both of them have the same (HD) video definition, the same video frame rate and a same resolution back-facing camera.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features just a bit longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a 3% more battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is a better device, it costs more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T). So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, else you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), resigning some features and specifications.
