Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), having a 65.9 score against 60.7. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is a newer and much thinner tablet than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), although it is also heavier. Both of these tablets have Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has the newer 4.2 version and Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1 version, so it offers lots of additional features and some performance improvements.
Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). Both of them have the same number of cores and a 1 GB RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a slightly better screen than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because although it has a lot worse 600 x 1024 pixels resolution and a much smaller display, it also counts with a just a little greater screen density.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch shoots clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). Both have the same video definition, a 3 mega pixels resolution camera and the same 30 fps video frame rates. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a slightly bigger storage for applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch also has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a very superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a 6800mAh battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), giving up some specifications.
