The Galaxy Tab Active 2 is slightly better than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, having a 70 score against 65.9. Even though the Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a lot thicker than the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, it's somewhat lighter and notably newer. Both of these devices use Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab Active 2 has newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has Android 4.2, providing you a couple nice extra features and performance tweaks.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has 2 GB more RAM memory and more CPU cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a display that's just as good as Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch's display, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a really smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 800 x 1280px, it also counts with a higher amount of pixels per inch in the screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a better camera than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a lot higher video quality and a camera with a much higher resolution. The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch features a bit more storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has a SD extension slot that holds up to 64 GB against 256 GB, it also counts with 16 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch features a superior battery duration than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has a 53% larger battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, resigning some specs and features.
