Comparison review
Galaxy Tab Active has a global score of 67, which is a bit better than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch's 65.9 general score. The Galaxy Tab Active is a newer and way lighter tablet than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, although it is thicker. Both of these tablets include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab Active has a more recent 4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has Android 4.2.
The Galaxy Tab Active has a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a GPU, a greater number of cores and a greater amount of RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because although it has a way smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1280 x 800px resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a better display density.
The Galaxy Tab Active's camera is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch one, and although the Galaxy Tab Active has a more mega pixels back facing camera, they both have the same video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates. Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch features a superior memory capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 64 GB, the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch also has more internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch counts with a much longer battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 53% larger battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, giving up a couple features and specs.
