Comparison review
Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a general score of 68.5, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch's general score of 65.9. Both of these devices work with Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia Tablet Z has newer 4.4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has Android 4.2 version, so it gives you lots of additional features and improved performance. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a thinner and just a little bit lighter tablet than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, even though both of them were only released with a couple of months difference.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a better screen than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, and although they both have a same size display, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has a lot higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a way better pixel density. Xperia Tablet Z features a little bit better performance than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory, more CPU cores (although they are slower) and a graphics co-processor.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z shoots clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a much more megapixels back-facing camera and a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z's memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos is very similar to Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch's one, they have a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 64 GB and the same internal memory.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch features just a little bit longer battery duration than Xperia Tablet Z, because it has a 6800mAh battery capacity against 6000mAh.
Although Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, resigning a couple specs and features.
