The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has a general score of 66.5, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017)'s 65.7 score. The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is a way older and somewhat thicker tablet than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), but Samsung was able to build it somewhat lighter anyway. Both tablets we are comparing here come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has Android 9.0 Pie.
The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 features a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has an inferior number of cores and 512 MB less RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has a much better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), although it has a just a little worse display density, a little smaller screen and a way worse 600 x 1024 resolution.
Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) features a much greater storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) also has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) features improved battery duration than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, because it has a back facing camera with much more mega-pixels.
