Galaxy Tab Active 2 is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, getting a score of 70 against 66.5. Both of these tablets include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab Active 2 has 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has Android 4.4.2, offering lots of additional features. Galaxy Tab Active 2's body has the same thickness than the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, but it's much heavier.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a little bit better performance than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and 6 more cores. The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 counts with a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, although it has a lot worse 600 x 1024 resolution, a bit inferior pixel amount in each inch in the display and a bit smaller screen.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a much greater storage to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, and although they both have exactly the same 16 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a SD card slot that holds up to 256 GB. Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a bit better battery duration than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, because it has 4450mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a very superior camera than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, because it has a camera in the back with lot more megapixels.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, letting go a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
