Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is slightly better than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, getting a general score of 68.7 against 62.5. These devices have Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a more recent 4.2.2 version and Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has Android 10, so it gives some additional features and performance tweaks. Although Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is incredibly older and a little heavier than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, it's construction is still thinner.
The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch feature quite similar processors, because although the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a greater number of cores and more RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a little sharper display than Alcatel JOY TAB 2. Both have a same size screen, the same amount of pixels in each inch in the screen and the same exact resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels.
Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a slightly better camera than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and although they both have a same resolution back-facing camera, the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 also has a lot higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition. The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal memory, the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 also has a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a little better battery lifetime than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has 4450mAh of battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Alcatel JOY TAB 2. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
