Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is just a bit better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, having a general score of 68.7 against 67.9. Despite of the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is older than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, it's design is a little thinner and somewhat lighter. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has older 4.2.2 version and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 version.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with more CPU cores and a larger amount of RAM memory. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much more vibrant display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a way better resolution of 1600 x 2560, a quite bigger screen and a lot higher pixel amount per display inch.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's camera is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch one, although the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has a camera with lot more MP and a way better 1920x1080 video quality. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a way better battery life than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
