The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has an overall score of 70.8, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's overall score of 68.7. These tablets have Android operating system, but the Google Nexus 7 (2013) has the newer 5.0 version while Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 version, so it gives you lots of additional features. Although the Google Nexus 7 (2013) and Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch were only released with a few months difference, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) design is somewhat thicker but also a bit lighter.
The Google Nexus 7 (2013) counts with a lot better display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and much more pixels per inch in the screen. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a lot bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have the same 32 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has just a bit better processing power than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because although it has 2 less 1.5 GHz CPU cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a much better 1064 megahertz GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with just a bit longer battery duration than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a 4450mAh battery size.
Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a camera that's just as good as Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's camera, and although the Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a way higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, they both have a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera.
