The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has an overall score of 68.7, which is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface 2's 63.4 score. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch works with Android 4.2.2 operating system, while Microsoft Surface 2 comes with Windows RT 8.1 operating system. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch construction is somewhat thinner and much lighter than Microsoft Surface 2, even when both were only released 4 months apart.
Microsoft Surface 2 features a little bit better looking display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a lot larger display, a way better resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a bit more pixels per screen inch.
