Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a score of 68.7, which is slightly better than Microsoft Surface 3's 66.3 score. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is an older device than Microsoft Surface 3, but Samsung was able to build it noticeably lighter and thinner. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has just a bit better performance than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a lower number of cores and they are also slower and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics processor.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a little more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a lot lower resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, a just a bit worse pixels quantity per inch of display and a really smaller display. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a much lower 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and a lot lower resolution back facing camera.
The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a superior storage to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal memory. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a really longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 3.
