Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is much better than the Microsoft Surface RT, having a general score of 68.7 against 58.4. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with Android 4.2.2 operating system, and Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT operating system. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a newer tablet, and it's also thinner and notably lighter than Microsoft Surface RT.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a slightly better screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a bit lower 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with a greater count of pixels per inch of screen. The Microsoft Surface RT has a slightly bigger memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has just a bit better performance than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has 2 lesser CPU cores (but faster) and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a better graphics processing unit working at 1064 MHz. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch costs a lot more than the Microsoft Surface RT, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
