Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a score of 68.7, which is slightly better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3's general score of 65. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 operating system, while Samsung ATIV Tab 3 works with Windows 8 operating system. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a just a bit thinner and noticeably lighter tablet than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, even when both were released only a couple of months apart.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a bit better CPU than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has less RAM memory, and they both have 2 cores, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with an extra graphics processor. The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a bit worse pixel density, it also counts with a bigger screen and a slightly better resolution of 768 x 1366 pixels.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch takes much better photographs and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
