Comparison review
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has a score of 69.2, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's overall score of 68.7. Although it's the best in this review, it must be told that it is also older, a lot thicker and heavier. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has Windows 8 OS, while Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with Android 4.2.2 OS.
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has a screen that is very similar to the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch one, because although the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has a lot less pixels per screen inch, it also counts with a slightly better 768 x 1366px resolution and a way bigger display. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has just a bit better processing power than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with a graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch captures a bit better videos and photos than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, although it has a way less mega pixels camera in the back.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with just a bit longer battery lifetime than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because it has a 9 percent bigger battery size.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is a little more expensive than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
